Snap shot from the Canterbury castle event Past and Present which was originally part of the 2012. I organised this 3 day event and directed the play pictured above which was an interactive piece written by Nicholas Shearon
Play by the 1 in 4 group who used an idea formed by myself and another performer from The Word based on packing boxes on a factory line.
A search for Words
Poetry workshop A Search for Words was placed in a number of different settings along with it's follow on workshop The Art of Performing your Poetry. We later followed this up with the pictured workshop Movement, music and other techniques to enhance performance, this was the beginning of my personal journey into the use of puppets and other performance techniques which now make up my style.
Risky Business
Working on a script-writing project for Risky Business a drama group for adults with learning difficulties.
The Dwelling Project
Project written by Nicholas Shearon and delivered by myself leading several facilitators in which we took school children into the streets to find things to build dwelling with. Skills of sorting, shapes and thinking about materials were used. Nick put his recently aquired achitectural skills into play in helping children to identify structures which could stand and withstand outdoor living conditions in England.
